2005 Grey Mare

“Goose” is an AQHA grey mare, she is said to have been blue roan gone grey at 6 years old but has not been color tested. We do plan on testing her color genetics.

Goose is by top AQHA heading stallion, Bubba Roan Cowboy, a big, gentle stallion who is a grandson of Snippys Cowboy who goes back to Two Eyed Jack and Orphan Drift as well as Mac Bee and Blondys Dude. He is an athlete with a great disposition and he passes this unto his offspring along with good bone, size and lots of color.

Goose’s dam, I Preffer Roses, is sired by Preferred Pay, a son of Dash for Cash, who has produced easy going, good-looking, strong foals. From his first foals to show, Preferred Pay is the sire of Preferred Money ($5,000; NCHA Open Futurity Semi-finalist; NCHA Certificate of Ability), Prefer Two Eyed (AQHA earner of 2 open, 5 amateur Barrel Racing & Pole Bending Points), Watch Your Cash (AQHA Halter Point earner), Maternal Instinct (AQHA Amateur point earner in Showmanship & Western Pleasure), Preferred Melody (AQHA Pole Bending point earner).

We purchased Goose in March 2020 from Snelling Farms in Riverton, Wyoming. Goose was broke to ride as a 2 year old and ridden until she was bred at 7. She was used for day riding for 2 years in Nevada where she worked cows and was roped off of. She has a half-sister, Lil Blue Wine, who was a 1D barrel horse. She throws straight legs with lots of size, bone and good feet. Her previous foals have all been sold as rope prospects but would have also made great barrel prospects.

We believe crossing her on our stallion Maverick will give us one heck of an amazing barrel or rope prospect.
