“Goose” is an AQHA bay roan mare gone grey.
She is by top AQHA heading stallion, Bubba Roan Cowboy, a big, gentle stallion who is a grandson of Snippys Cowboy who goes back to Two Eyed Jack and Orphan Drift as well as Mac Bee and Blondys Dude. He is an athlete with a great disposition and he passes this unto his offspring along with good bone, size and lots of color.
Goose’s dam, I Preffer Roses, is sired by Preferred Pay, a son of Dash for Cash, who has produced easy going, good-looking, strong foals. From his first foals to show, Preferred Pay is the sire of Preferred Money ($5,000; NCHA Open Futurity Semi-finalist; NCHA Certificate of Ability), Prefer Two Eyed (AQHA earner of 2 open, 5 amateur Barrel Racing & Pole Bending Points), Watch Your Cash (AQHA Halter Point earner), Maternal Instinct (AQHA Amateur point earner in Showmanship & Western Pleasure), Preferred Melody (AQHA Pole Bending point earner).
Before coming to us, Goose was broke to ride as a 2 year old, she was used for day riding for 2 years in Nevada where she worked cows and was roped off of. She was ridden until she was bred at the age of 7. She has a half-sister, Lil Blue Wine, who was a 1D barrel horse. She throws straight legs with lots of size, bone and good feet. Her previous foals have all been sold as rope prospects.
Color Results explanation:
Goose's color results are based on color tests and offspring. Goose is a Bay Roan who has gone Gray. Her Extension is E/e which means that she is able to produce both red (sorrel) and black (Black & Bay) based foals. Her Agouti is A/a which means that she can produce both Bay and Black foals. She carries one (1) copy of the Gray gene as well as one (1) copy of roan.
Her ad photo was taken on 05/28/2023.
She is currently in the pasture with our AQHA stallion, Laughing Sun Joaker and will be preg checked after we pull stallions.
