“Ruger” is a chestnut stallion and was born on April 08, 2024. He should mature to 14.1/14.2HH and is sired by our stallion, Mr Catsanova and out of our mare, Snowbum Shini Quiote.

Mr Catsanova is sired by Bet Hesa Cat, the only World Champion Stallion at age 5 in history whose dam is also a NCHA World Champion. Bet Hesa Cat is one of only 3 stallions in history to sire an NRCHA Open Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion and Reserve Champion in the same year.

Bet Hesa Cat’s accomplishments include being Equi-Stats #1 Leading Junior Reined Cow Horse Sire, NRCHA’s 2021 #4 Leading Sire and 2020 Top 15 NCHA Leading sire, QData’s 2021 #6 Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire, and QData’s 2021 Top Leading Cutting Sire. As of 2021 his total earnings are $272,151 of which $267,465 were NCHA earnings. He also has 15 AQHA points in cutting and has sired multiple champions.

Mr Catsanova is out of Miss Dual Echo, own daughter of #5 all time $25.8 million-dollar Wold Champion sire, Dual Pep. Out of one of NCHA’s most dominating female lines, Miss Echo Wood, #16 all-time leading producing dam of over $1.3 million. Miss Echo wood has an LTE of $59,800 and 13 AQHA points. Some of her producing offspring have over $950,000 in NCHA earnings.

Miss Dual Echo has $545 in NCHA earnings and a maternal brother, Hears Johnny, is an NCHA earner of $940.

Ruger’s dam, Snowbum Shini Quiote is sired by Snow Bum Blackburn, a working ranch stallion whose foundation lines go back to Blackburn. His particular bloodlines are from Jim Larson’s program out of Sheridan, WY. He took the “C” out of his Blackburn bloodlines. If your horse has any Blakburn in their pedigree it can be traced back to Jim’s program.

She is out of Quixoteshiniaprinces, who is a paternal granddaughter of 2002 World Show Qualifier AQHA stallion Sparkin Hot. A 2002 World Show qualifier, ROM performance and the sire of NRHA money earners, he had earnings of $3,796 and a total of 109.5 AQHA Points including:

- ND Winter Quarter Horse Show Open Champion - 3rd
- Three Star III Quarter Horse Show Open
- AQHA Senior Reining World Show qualifier
- AQHA Junior Reining World Show qualifier
- AQHA Reining World Show qualifier
- AQHA Superior

Sparkin Hot was the sire of PHBA and AQHA point earners including multiple AQHA ROMs and an AQHA Superior plus NRHA and Barrel Racing money earners. He was sired by Shining Spark ($62,674: AQHA Open World Champion Junior Reining; NRHA Derby Open Champion; an NRHA $4 Million Sire; NRHA Hall of Fame; 2014 Equi-Stat, #1 5-Year Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire; #3 Leading Reining Maternal Grandsire; #5 Leading Reining Paternal Grandsire).

Quixoteshiniaprinces is also a maternal granddaughter to AQHA stallion, Dox Outside Chance, with NCHA earnings of $8,367.63. He is a son of the great Doc Olena, 1970 NCHA Futurity Champion, a leading sire and leading maternal grandsire of NCHA money earners with NCHA earnings of $21,991.93, and a 3/4 brother to Smart Little Lena.

Anywhere this colt goes people fall in love with him. Ruger is incredibly intelligent and friendly. The weanlings were sent to the trainers to be halter broke and he was the trainers favorite. He picked up things quickly and with ease. He will make an amazing performance prospect with his athleticism and brains. His personality is one in a million. With his brains, conformation and disposition I believe he could even make a great stallion prospect.
