Malibu stayed local and is learning how to do all things ranch horse. She's 4 this year and was out in high winds moving bulls over the weekend like a pro. Her owner who also started her says she loves how much of a thinker she is and how calm she can be.

Malibu's owner has done a fantastic job getting her started and we can't wait for more updates!

It's almost spring and that means it's colt starting time.

We have Clients who are starting their young colts and putting more saddle time on others.

Check out Hawk here, first time with a saddle pad and some flag desensitizing. They're just so wild! 🤣 but we do love a great personality!

🪱 Let’s talk about Dewormer/Deworming Schedules

We have talked before about how there are so many things that go into making a great horse and a great program. I believe that education is one of those things. There is so much information out there, so many people in this industry with great information and experience to help guide you. In education there’s always experimenting, and by that, I mean, experimenting to see what works for you, your horse and your program. Today I’d like to share with you my knowledge and experience and you can use it all, bits and pieces or none of it.

Over the years talking with different clients one thing that I have seen can overwhelm people is dewormer and having a deworming schedule. What do you use, when do you use it, etc. When I first got into horses the equine vet clinic I used for my horses had a deworming schedule for large and small herds for their clients. After moving out here it was the schedule that I continued to use. I’ve had people throughout the years suggest different schedules but after trying a few different ones we have found that the one that I originally started with is the preferred schedule that works for us.

We are officially 2 months away from foaling season. I was out walking through the girls this evening and their bellies are starting to show.

We had AQHA run the IMM/MYHM test for Sparky and he is now officially 6 panel N/N!

KC has loved to play with the hose since he was little. In my many attempts to put the hose in the tank and get him to stop playing with it, we ended up with it like this. You will notice the water on the ground from him continuously pulling it out of the tank.

I went to go get some other things done and came back to check the water and found him drinking from the hose like this 😂.
