Our Mares

Gigi is one of our home raised mares. She should mature to 14.3/15hh. She is sired by our stallion, Mr Catsanova, a son of $10+ million dollar sire, Bet Hesa Cat and a money earning daughter of $25.8 million dollar sire, Dual Pep.

Her dam, Shotstarbuckmountain is by RFF Starbuck, a money earning stallion with points in HUS, HOF & WP. She goes back to running bred stallion Mr Sen Sen (SI-95) as well as NCHA champion Peponita and BH Mountianshot who produced head & heel, rope, ranching and team penning horses.

Lemon stands at 14hh. She comes from a Krogman breeding program from South Dakota. She is sired by Kros Hail Storm, a 2013 Perlino stallion who goes back to the great Two Eyed Jack on his sire’s side.

Lemon’s dam, Bright Tivio, has a pedigree filled with cutting horses. Her lineage goes back to stallions such as Jessie Tivio (100% Foundation, AQHA Champion, ROM Halter, ROM Performance IBHA Champion), Poco Tivio (NCHA $11,188.00) and Poco Bueno (AQHA Champion & Hall of Fame Stallion) on her sire’s side.

On Bright Tivio’s bottom side, her great grandsire, Crowned Okie (NCHA $325.00) goes back to stallion Docs Okie Quixote (LTE $599,109.00, NCHA Champion & Hall of Fame) and Doc Quixote (LTE $3,728.96, NCHA Hall of Fame Stallion, with OE of over $10 million).

Both sire and dam of Bright Tivio are heavily influenced by Blackburn bloodlines. She not only goes back to Mr Blackburn 41 who sired many NRHA money earning offspring but also Mr Blackburn 40 who was an AQHA champion and sired many performing offspring. Mr Blackburn 40 and Mr Blackburn 41 are 3/4 brothers.

Rayne stands at 14.3hh. She is by Feature Frosty, a son of roping stallion, Frosty Feature and grandson of Truckle Feature. On his dam’s side, Feature Frosty goes back to Tonto Bar Ted, AQHA Race SI-95, LTE $1,232 and an AQHA High Point Steer Roping earner. He also goes back to Tonto Bars Hank, SI-100, LTE $133,641 a leading sire in many categories. His dam also goes back to the great stallions such as Leo and King.

Rayne’s dam, Cowboys Ropin Ruby is sired by Cowboys Superstar whose grandsire, Sonny Dee Bar, was a big influence on Quarter horses, Paint horses and Appaloosas. She also goes back to Impressive and Jackie Bee.

Before coming to us, Rayne was broke to ride and ridden all over the country.

Francine should mature to around 15+hh. She is sired by AQHA stallion, Dunits Creme Brulee. He was shown in the EXCA (Extreme Cowboy Association) in 2020 and placed in several shows. Dunits Creme Brulee is a son of Chex Nu Jewel a reining cowhorse champion and goes back to $2 million dollar NRHA sire and NRHA Hall Of Fame sire, Nu Chex To Cash - LTE $61,000+ in NRHA and NRCHA and earner of 381 AQHA points. He is a multiple World Champion and World Champion sire.
 

Dunits Creme Brulee’s dam, Whata Hollywood Babe is sired by Dun Its Lucky Charm a Two Times AQHA World Show Qualifier, Open and Limited Reining Futurity Champion, NRHA Money Earner.

Whata Hollywood Babe’s grandsire, Hollywood Dun It (NRHA LTE $65,808) is the 2nd All Time Leading Sire in National Reining Horse history he is in the NRHA Hall of Fame and a Six Million Dollar Sire.

Francine obtained an injury to her left front leg before she was weaned and is broodmare sound only.

Elsa is one of our home raised mares. She stands at 14.2 and is an sired by our AQHA cremello splash grey stallion, Laughing Sun Joaker.

Her sire is a grandson of $14+ million dollar sire, Frenchmans Guy, who is a Top Leading Barrel Horse Sire. Joaker has siblings who are being used to run barrels and as well as roping and working ranch horses.

Elsa is out of our mare, Snowbum Shini Quiote, who comes from a strong maternal line of NCHA and NRHA money earners which include AQHA stallion Sparkin Hot (NRHA $3,796) and AQHA stallion Dox Outside Chance (NCHA $8,367.63). With solid paternal foundation lines going back to the Blakburn breeding program of Jim Larson of Sheridan, WY.

Her maternal grandsire is a proven working ranch horse and has proven himself in Ranch Versatility competitions as well.

Mouse is one of our home raised mares who stands at 14.2hh. She is sired by our AQHA cremello splash grey stallion, Laughing Sun Joaker.

Mouse is out of Klassy Prescription, who is a granddaugther of Mr Junewood a Open Performance ROM Superior Heeling, 4 Time AQHA World Show Qualifier with 192 AQHA Points Heeling, Heading, and Calf Roping 2001 and All-Around Contender 2005 COAFQHR Grand Champion Stallion and Ranch Pleasure Champion.

She also goes back to Sugs Chita, who had 29.5 points in Team Penning, and NCHA earnings of $2,683.93.

Goose stands at 15hh and was bred locally in South Dakota. She is sired by AQHA stallion, Gooseberry Blue a son of AQHA stallion Rowdy Blue Man. Rowdy Blue Man was used in the arena as a steer jerking horse. He had a wonderful disposition and lots of cow. He passed this outstanding willingness on to his babies, who also carry his abundant muscle and heavy bone. He was approximately 88.28125% Foundation (using NFHQA calculation standards) 18.75% Joe Hancock.

Goose goes back to Blue Valentine on both her top and bottom side and he was the perfect blend of arena and working horse. Blue Valentine, another great stallion was used for roping, ranch work and steer tripping when calves weighed 800-900lbs. He was used in different rodeo events and even took 3rd at the annual Casper, WY pro rodeo all-girl barrel competition. Blue Valentine horses are known for their gentle disposition, bone frame, good feet & minds.

Gooseberry Blue is out of Junios Red Girl, a daughter of Gooseberry who has been said to be one of the best sons of Blue Valentine. His pedigree also includes Red Man, a son of Joe Hancock and can also be found on the top and bottom side of Gooses’ pedigree. Junios Red Girl also goes back to Sak Em San, a PRCA rope horse who was sired by world cutting champion Peppy San who also appears in some of our other mares’ pedigrees.

Goose is out of Mrs Wyo Sue Coup who is a paternal sister to our mare LL Hawks Fancy Chita. Mrs Wyo Sue Coup is a daughter of WYO Hawk Blues who is a son of WYO Blue Bonnet and grandson of Leo Hancock Hayes. Leo Hancock Hayes is the last breeding son of Blue Valentine and an outstanding ranch and arena sire and one of the top ten all time ranch sires in AQHA history. Almost all of his 500+ foals were used for rodeo and ranch work.

WYO Hawk Blues pedigree also includes Red Man, a son of Joe Hancock; was one of the greatest sires of cow horses in history as well as stakes winners on the race track. He was a rope horse whose accomplishments include:

Fancy has the most gorgeous little head I’ve ever seen on a quarter horse and I hope it’s something she passes on to her offspring. She’s got a nice thick hind end and feet, just like her sire.

We had planned on starting Fancy under saddle so I could use her for a while before she became a broodmare, unfortunately she hurt herself out in the pasture and is only sound for breeding due to her injury.

She is out of Turbo Seven, a daughter of AQHA World Champion Cutting Horse, Seven From Heaven, LTE $72,732. A proven ranch and stock horse sire, he had earnings in both cutting and reined cow horse events. One of his most notable offspring being Haidas Seven Heaven (LTE$650K+).

He was registered as an APHA Breeding Stock Paint and showed on the APHA circuit. AQHA eventually allowed double dilutes papers and he was dual registered. The RFF in his name stands for Red Fox Farms which is the farm where he was raised and shown.

BH Mountainshot’s paternal grandsire, Snips Roan Baker, has produced offspring being used as head and heel horses, for ranching, roping and team penning. His lineage is still being used for ranching and roping. She also goes back to Sak Em San a PRCA rope horse who was sired by world cutting champion Peppy San.

Her dam’s top side goes back to AQHA & NCHA World Champion, Peponita, NCHA LTE $120k+, producing money earning offspring in NCHA, NRHA, NRCHA and Halter. She also goes back to greats like Boston Mac, Rocket Bar and Poco Bob.

Luna was injured at some point after her 2 year old year and was never started under saddle due to injury. She is broodmare sound only.

Remi stands at 14.2hh AQHA palomino mare purchased as a two year old. She is sired by Snow Bum Blackburn, a working ranch and has proven himself in Ranch Versatility competitions. His foundation lines go back to Blackburn; his particular bloodlines are from Jim Larson’s program out of Sheridan, WY. He took the “C” out of his Blackburn bloodlines. If your horse has any Blakburn in their pedigree it came from Jim’s program.

She is out of Quixoteshiniaprinces, who is a paternal granddaughter of 2002 World Show Qualifier AQHA stallion Sparkin Hot. A 2002 World Show qualifier, ROM performance and the sire of NRHA money earners, he had earnings of $3,796 and a total of 109.5 AQHA Points including:

Quixoteshiniaprinces is also a maternal granddaughter to AQHA stallion, Dox Outside Chance, with NCHA earnings of $8,367.63. He is a son of the great Doc Olena, 1970 NCHA Futurity Champion, a leading sire and leading maternal grandsire of NCHA money earners with NCHA earnings of $21,991.93, and a 3/4 brother to Smart Little Lena.

Remi had 90 days professional training with Angela Grant, who has since retired, at Clippity-Clop Riding Center as a 3-year-old. Remi has a smooth lope and a willing to please attitude but can be a little on the pokey side even though we’ve witnessed her tearing it up in the pasture.

Remi has a very sweet, bubbly and fun personality. She is always the first one to greet you at the gate or the one you can count on to bring everyone in.

Roxxy has a P Diamond on her left shoulder and had 10 rides put on her when she came to us from Porras Quarter Horses in the fall of 2018. She has quickly become one of my favorite mares. Her laid back disposition is to die for and makes her seem like she’s much older than she really is. She is western pleasure bred with some great maternal cow bloodlines and has very beautiful natural movement in the pasture.

Chexy stands at 14.2hh and she is sired by AQHA stallion Dun Stylish. According to RT Fisher Farms he is 14.2hh and a very versatile stallion. He excelled in team roping arenas and had one of the best dispositions you could want in a stallion. He stamps his foals with a beautiful head and keen eye as well as a very trainable disposition. Dun Stylish is sired by $4+ million dollar sire, Playin Stylish (LTE $118,764).
 

Dun Stylish is also a grandson of cutting stallion, Boon Bar, whose accomplishments include:

Poco Tivio Chex also goes back to Poco Tivio a son of Poco Bueno, who won $11,188.39 in NCHA, Top Ten World Show AQHA Champion, NCHA money-earner, Halter Point Earner, ROM Performance Awards: COA, Bronze & Superior Performance Offspring. Poco Tivio is a full brother to Poco Lena and Poco Champ; AQHA Champion Offspring ROM Performance Offspring NCHA Money-earners & Halter Point Earners.

Boujee should mature to 14.2hh and is an amber dun champagne (Bay Dun with Champagne). She is sired by Continental Travel, a very versatile and cowy stallion. His sire, Poco Dakota Cowboy, was shown in both cutting and working cow. His dam, Poco Blakburn137, is the daughter of King Cutter Jim, who was the sire to many rope horses. Continental Travel’s pedigree is heavily influenced by Blackburn bloodlines, which happen to be one of our personal favorite ranch horse pedigrees.

Her dam, Talkinoverchampagne, is sired by KG Talkin Gold, a son of LS Straight Talk, who is a grandson of NRHA Hall of Fame and Million Dollar sire, Topsail Cody. In his lifetime, LS Straight Talk produced money earners, point earners, ranch, rope, barrel and family horses. His offspring are very versatile, something that KG Talkin Gold has continued to pass down to his offspring.

Her dam, Docs Tip N Champagne, produces very smart and athletic horses that have been used in a variety of disciplines. She is sired by Holidocs Dee, who goes back to greats like Holidoc and Sonny Dee Bar. Her dam, Doc Ashwood Tipper goes back to Doc Tari, NCHA LTE $16.5K+ with Equi-Stat recording cutting offspring LTE of $4+ million and NCHA stallion, Docs Wrangler, who sired many NCHA and NRHA money earners.

Boujee does have old school halter breeding in her pedigree. These lines are different from today’s lines. They were commonly crossed on cutting and reining horses to create an all-around horse.

We purchased Boujee from her breeder when she was a month old. Unfortunately, when she was being weaned, she injured her front right foot in a panel and is broodmare sound only.

Blue Valentine horses are known for their gentle disposition, bone frame, good feet & minds.

WYO Blue Bonnet’s pedigree also includes Red Man, a son of Joe Hancock, was one of the greatest sires of cow horses in history as well as stakes winners on the race track. He was a rope horse whose accomplishments include:

- AQHA Register of Merit in racing & performance
- Sire of 20 ROM earners in race & performance
- Offspring accomplishments include 80 race wins, 18 stakes winners and earnings of $28,848
- Sired many great horses including Blue Valentine, Booger Red and Apache Agent
- Inducted into the NCHA Hall of Fame

Bunny is out of Ninos Pick a daughter of Ala Bunny. Ala Bunny is a 1978 sorrel stallion, with a SI-92 and $10,993 in race earnings. She also goes back to the great Bunny Bid whose accomplishments include:

- AQHA Race SI-104/AAAT/ROM/Superior 23-16-6-0
- Earnings of $214,026
- 1971 AQHA Quarter Racing 3 yr old Stallion
- 1971 AQHA Quarter Racing Stallion
- Producer of money earners with LTE of $3,883,352

Unfortunately, not much is known about her before she came here. From what we were able to learn, she was about 4 or 5 years old she got a strand of electric nylon fence rope wrapped around her left rear leg. She had surgery to repair the damage and it left a scar and she’s been used as a broodmare. Bunny has a very easy-going personality and is the herd babysitter.
